There are days where I meet up with friends for lunch before heading out to a shoot and one thing I’ve always hated was lugging around a bulky camera bag. I don’t feel safe leaving my gear in my car, but I also hate lugging around an ugly bag too. I used to use a Shootsac while shooting but while it was compact, it wasn’t good for transporting gear around because the bag doesn’t stand on it’s own, which meant I had to carry it over my shoulder the entire time. Here is an example of what I typically pack for a shoot, including my contax 645 and canon 5d mark III + 50L lens. It may vary depending on the shoot, but the padding inside are adjustable so I can easily move them around if I want to bring extra lenses instead… or diapers.
