Korean First Birthday Party in Los Angeles

We had so much fun documenting Baby Leonard’s Korean first birthday party in Los Angeles! You’d never know it looking at these photos, but we actually shot this milestone birthday celebration in my yard. Leonard’s parents chose to use one of our pre-designed sets, which includes everything you see in the photos—florals, doljabi props, and the delicious tteok (rice cakes) and cookies.

In general, families can customize as much or as little as they want, but if you’re looking for ease, you can’t go wrong with one of our beautiful handmade sets (see other available sets in our posts Family Portrait Studio in Los Angeles and Vietnamese First Birthday Photography in Los Angeles).

Leonard was such a cheerful, easy-going baby, which made this shoot a breeze! Because he was so cooperative, we quickly got through all of our planned Korean first birthday shots and had a lot of time left over to let the family play and enjoy themselves.

Leonard is the youngest of three boys and it was so fun to bring his brothers in to catch photos of them all interacting together. We got some really great shots of them rolling around on the floor, and can already imagine the lively energy of their future tumbling sessions!

We’re so fortunate to have such beautiful weather and gorgeous light year-round here, which allows us to set up shoots outside the studio. If you’re planning a Korean first birthday party in Los Angeles, don’t hesitate to reach out to see how we can make a photo shoot like this happen. Whether it’s a celebration at the park, a drive-by birthday party, a gathering at an event venue, or simply a commemorative photo shoot in front of your garage, we can bring our sets to you!
