This was hands down one of the funnest unions I’ve had the privilege of being a part of – it was truly a celebration. If you missed it, it was featured on Green Wedding Shoes last week! The photo above was taken on their walk home from the church (yes, they walked home!) – I love it because their expressions say so much. So join me as I reminisce about their big day…
Matt & Paul had a backyard (front yard if you want to get technical) reception, and exchanged vows at The Little Brown church down the street… The same church Ronald & Nancy Reagan got married in! Guests, including the happy couple, paraded to and from the ceremony!
The coolest part to me is how all the guests paraded back to their house from the church. For the walk home, Matt & Paul prepared spiked lemonade in disposable flasks for each guests and colorful parasols. And when guests arrived, they were greeted by a lovely reception at their home.
venue: Little Brown Church Studio City, California and The Ethel House // event design + planning: Courtney Caplin Cotter of LVL Events // rentals: LA Party Rentals and Classic Party Rentals // floral design:Meghan Fickling // shoes: Custom Converse sneakers, color coordinated to suits // groom attire: Brooks Brothers (suits, bowties and shirts) // invitations + paper goods: Paper Source // catering: Elements, Onil Chibas // cake:Susie Cakes // music: Morganne Picard
And this last one just for kicks… They were calling me out to thank me and I hid behind the camera.

Photojournalism is definitely a passionate career. Without right enthusiasm it is not possible to attain your primary goal in this area. It is actually directly associated with 3rd eye, this is why it’s simply not an very easy job.
