Four years ago, I got an introduction email from Thuy inquiring about product photography for an upcoming invitation line she’s working on.  A little over a year later, we shot and the beautiful Paper Chez was debuted. From that first time I met Thuy & Harvey for our shoot, I knew they would get married.  Their chemistry was evident from our first meeting.  I was beyond thrilled when I got the email that they’re engaged, and even more excited when they asked me to be their wedding photographer.  I was so honored to have the privileged of  documenting their love story and destination wedding weekend.

My favorite part of destination weddings is the vibe… everyone’s on vacation!  I was fortunate to be one of the few who got to stay in one (of 6) rooms at Beltane Ranch.  I loved being able to experience first hand what Thuy and her closest friends and family experienced, including breakfast, and morning strolls around the beautiful property.

Thuy & Harvey was inspired by their many travels, especially to France.  Guests arrived to an adorably set up Farmer’s Market.  Many of the items were things found around the property or brought in by Milk Glass Vintage Rentals, and beautifully put together by the talented Patty of 8 events.

I love how timeless Thuy’s Monique Lhuillier dress and Jimmy Choo shoes are.

And of course, the drop dead gorgeous stationery by Paper Chez.  (Fun fact, Thuy designed my blog!)

Another fun fact, this was my first wedding where I practically shot all film… like 99% film (literally, I did the math).   I love these black & white film images of her getting ready:

One of my favorite images… on her way to say I do!

As guest made their way into the ceremony site, they were greeted by this darling table.  It was personalized with old family photos and memorabilia from their travel.

Guests also had the opportunity to leave some words of wisdom for the happy couple.

What’s better than a beautiful cake?

…3 beautiful cakes!

And of course, Macaroons!

Lounge areas & coffee bar:

And a first dance right at sunset… doesn’t get any more romantic than that.
